November was quite dense in various kinds of events. Here is a short summary of the agile-related ones.
18th PMI Bulgaria Chapter Members Meeting – November 13
I’m not official member of the PMI chapter but interesting topics have been announced so I subscribed to attend this meeting. The most interesting presentations were:
- Overview of Management 3.0 – Agile Leadership Practices, Boris Spasov, Product Owner; Monika Kovachka-Dimitrova, Chief Project Expert, Lean Center, SAP Labs Bulgaria
- Management pitfalls going Agile, Nikolay Todorov Project Manager, Musala Soft Ltd
ISTA 2012 (Innovations in Software Test Automation) – November 22
This was full-day event with many interesting presentations. The talk I enjoyed the most was “How We Test Web Services at Skrill” presented by Emanuil Slavov – in particular the whole team approach without a dedicated automation team.
The event took place in SAP Labs Bulgaria. Main topics:
- Techniques for retrospective meetings;
- Management 3.0 overview
About our attempt to broadcast the event as webinar
Based on recent suggestions in our google group – this time we made an attempt to also broadcast the event as webinar via anymeeting (since not everyone is able to physically attend the event). We tried anymeeting as platform – since it provides free service for up to 200 users (and some people who used the platform shared a positive feedback for it). However – finally for some unclear reason the voice capturing/broadcast didn’t work so we proceeded offline as usual.
As a Linux user – my personal discomfort with anymeeting and some other similar sites is that they’re not officially supporting Linux. And it indeed doesn’t work on Linux due to some Flash incompatibilities.
